The trend of rigorous studies of scientists and governments are concerned by the increasing difficulty in the prevention and control of tropical diseases led us to the beginning of the decade of 80 to work with a repellent to a soap base that off of low-cost, highest efficiency and easy-to-use by the entire community. The significant need of a product of these characteristics was the origin of Salder Limited and NOPIKEX® your first product. Since then, by means of rigorous field work has demonstrated the effectiveness of NOPIKEX®. These were funded by the World Health Organization, UNDP/World Bank/WHO Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR), the Council of Medical Research in the United Kingdom, National Institute of Health of the united States, Commission of the European Community, Directorate-General for Science, Research and Development, Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Public Health at the University of Heidelberg, Germany.
In 1 993 Salder Limited added his experience in the manufacture of products for the prevention and control of tropical diseases to that of one of the laboratories of the oldest and largest of Colombia, with results that exceeded all predictions and expectations to obtain an increase in sales of units of more than 1000%.
Subsequently, recognising the ongoing and imperative need of personal protection against hematophagous insects, we focus on the formulation of a product of equal effectiveness, and low cost to be impregnated with insecticide mosquito nets and clothing. In 1997 we began to produce and market IMPREGNET®.
Together NOPIKEX® and IMPREGNET® represent a significant advancement of the proven and very low-cost personal protection against hematophagous insects, preventing, Malaria, Dengue and other vector-borne diseases. Our goal is to put them within the reach of the greatest number of people possible and to this end we welcome information from companies interested in distributing our products.
